These terms cover your use of Belong. By creating an account, you agree to them. We've kept them as short as we honestly can.
Your account
You must be at least 16 years old to use Belong. You're responsible for keeping your login details secure, and for the content posted from your account.
Membership and billing
Belong is free to use right now, including every essay, the audio library, community, and your journal. We may introduce a paid membership in the future; if we do, we'll clearly explain what changes and give notice before anything is billed.
Content you create
You own what you write: journal entries, posts, and comments. By posting publicly in the community, you give Belong permission to display that content on the platform, under your anonymous display name, in line with our community guidelines. You can request removal of your own content at any time.
Content we publish
Essays, audio, and prompts published by Belong remain our property or that of the contributing writers, and are provided for your personal, non-commercial use.
Not a substitute for care
Belong is not a medical, mental health, or emergency service. Nothing on the platform should be treated as professional advice. See our resources page if you need support right now.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or remove accounts that violate our community guidelines or these terms, particularly where safety is a concern. You can close your account at any time.
Liability
Belong is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
Changes to these terms
We'll notify you by email before any material change to these terms takes effect.
